In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, geospatial solutions have been launched to support public safety efforts throughout Singapore during the circuit breaker period.

Aside from providing visibility on crowd density in public spaces around the country, the data generated has helped organisations and policymakers create new safe distancing guidelines within the community while amending existing ones.

The second webinar under the COVID-19 series will discuss using location analytics and patterns in historical data to plan effective policies for safe distancing and public safety.

Modern technologies will also be examined on how they can enable decision makers to be better informed to combat this pandemic.

Highlights

  • Understanding how to minimise community spread by knowing where people meet and disperse
  • Enabling decision-makers to make better-informed choices to reduce the likelihood of person-to-person transmission
  • Utilising real-time data to plan more effective policies to enhance safe distancing and overall public safety
